It was fine today but all of a sudden on jericho Trpk the car was dragging. at red lights i would floor it cuz i thought thats it my tranny is gone and it wouldnt pick up until 4k rpm im like WTF!! and then it would be ok through the gears but no initial pickup. I took it to autozone and they tested my batter being bad..... Thats all the stupid machine said that it was bad. I mean could it be possible the battery is causing this much of a problem????

Any ideas??

I have a 07 type S i doubt it could be the tranny with only 25k miles on it...

 

yes it could well be a bad battery.... I would say it is time for you to get a braille or an odessey battery... check jegs.com good luck

 

you must've looked really stupid flooring it on jericho turnpike. what would that have accomplished anyway? (it's okay we all make stupid mistakes, mine was with a dog crossing the road )

anyway, you sound like you got an answer anyway, why not just swap the battery and see if it gets better? if it does, well; mazel tov! if it doesnt, take it to ralleye

 

go to acura and get a free battery replacement. Batteries from acura are warrantied for 3 years, first 2 are replacement and the third is pro-rated. If that doesn't help, are you in high altitudes? If yes, this is one of the TL's flaws, zero power under 4K

 

Dude the heat and the freaking outness of your car not working properly will make a man do crazy things. point in case me trying to gun it on jericho..... what happend with the dog....dont tell me it got messy


Ok ive hurd of Optima but what the heck is a odessey/braille? as stupid as this may sound i thought u ment braile like language for blond people LOL

 

i swerved to avoid a dog that ran across the road, ended up hitting a curb. hehe NY heat is NOT bad when you've experienced midwest heat/humidity ;-) ~ also Jericho tnpk is riddled with police and cams, just in general not a good place to speed or try odd things.

Braille is just another brand of battery. but if everything is under warranty jsut swap it out at the dealer. and i have to agree blond chicks can't see either just like BLIND people
