HFL stuck, No radio

This used to only happen every once in a great while, but it's becoming more frequent. So, I start up the vehicle, and my display reads "Hands Free Link", accompanied by a continuous crackling sound. The diagnostic tells me that the hands free system is okay. Basically, it's stuck like this for the whole day, then when I start the car in the morning, my beloved XM radio greets me, and all is well.

I have an hour commute each morning, and being without a radio is very irritating. Has anyone experienced this, or know someone who has and how they resolved it? I would appreciate any info I can get.

The car is a 2007 Acura TL, base sedan w/o NAV.

†hanks!

Never had it happen to me and don't believe I have read about this here on AZ either. Maybe disconnect the HFL and see if that works?

This happened to me once. It had to do with the way I connected/disconnected the bluetooth on my phone.

I had to trick it out of the mode by placing a call while my phone was connected, and then turning off the "headset" on the phone, which sends a command to the HFL to stop handling the call. This snapped it out of the "ON" mode where it took over the car's audio.

It hasn't happened since then. If you're is happening more frequently, it might be a sign that the HFL is about to

2007 TL Base. HFL Booting

HFL disconnected 3 yrs ago due to battery drain. Couple of days ago, radio locked up, displayed HANDS FREE LINK. Dashboard displayed BOOTING UP. Disconnected battery. Still not clear. Cleared itself overnight. Thats the good news. But WHY did this happen ? Concerned it may happen again.
