hey guys im new to acurazine and just wanna say this is the best website ive seen for acura lovers, anyways i have a 04 tl aspec 6speed. theres several problems i cannot figure out. first one is when im in first gear and going from a stop, the car hesitates at around 2k rpm and then picks up. best way to describe it is as of the car losses fuel and then picks it back up. Happens mostly on a cold start and usually in 1st thru 3rd gear. second issue is lets say im in first gear and i get around 4k rpm and fully let off the gas pedal and then try to press the gas pedal again the car will shake back and forth, sorty like bad engine mount symptoms, but ive already replaced the mounts except the rear. my brother says its my foot bouncing off the pedal but i told him theres no way my foot can just bounce unless im doing it, plus it happens usually when the hesitation in the accelrations occurs in the first issue, anyways any kind of help would be appreciated

Rear mount rarely goes bad.

Accelerator Pedal Position sensor...search around.
This may very well be your problem.

sounds like the torque converter if ur driving an auto not a manual

Have you done a tune up lately? I doub't it's the mounts, but it won't hurt to check if they're broken, so you can replace them.

thanks for thw reply guys, but i doubt its the mounts because when i replaced the front and side mount i checked the rear and it was good, i also replaced the upper tranny mount. i did some research and i think it might be the app sensor, but from what i read everybody that replaced theres they said there car was going into limp mode but mine hasnt. and houston i have done a tune up recently but that just consisted of spark plugs and tranny fluid change and i did clean the air filter. but 2 of the bolts that hold the air filter box together are broken and doesnt tie it together pretty good could that be it? also im going to clean the throttle body this weekend and see if that helps
