My Acura Tl 2005, was working fine until few days ago the transmission would lock everytime I start my car. When it's parked it locks so I can't switch gear until I unlock it on the side of the transmission. What can it be and how can I fix it! Please help

 

About 2 inches to the left of your stick shifter, there is a little 1/2" rectangle. Open that and push the button.

 

I press it but it still locks evertime I start the car

 

I wonder if it's your brake pedal sensor switch, that has to be engaged before the trans allows you to move it out of park.

 

The brake interlock switch is broken. Have it checked.
