I have 2008 TL with about 110,000 miles. I was driving down the road at about 45 MPH. and I heard some bump noise on passenger side towards the back like something hit it or something. and I looked at the side Mirror and saw something round rolling down the road behind me. It is Not a soda or beer can. Can it be something fell off my under carriage and hit my rear back tire and tire guard and started to roll down the road? Is there anything on my passenger side of the under the car that is Round that could have fallen off ?? Or do you guys think I just drove over something and didn't notice it on the road ? What do you guys think ? Thank you in advance.

 

What? You couldn't foresee that happening?

Probably just something in the road.

 

If you made it home and no unusual noises, like above, probably something in the road, but if it was that much of a concern, why wouldn't you turn around and see what came out from under the car?

 

I agree, I should have stopped. but then there was cars behind me close and didn't want to abruptly stop. and I was on my way to an important appointment and didnt' want to be late. It was some kind of round Hoop looking thing I saw rolling down the road behind me........
Is there such a thing under the car ?? or around the tire around brakes ??

 

you can't tell unless you jack the car up and inspect the undercarriage. but most likely it's just something on the road.

 

yes, today I was at the dealership service department and they took a look at undercarriage and they said they saw nothing wrong....
