Help with removal of upper console panel on 3G TL non-Nav

I need to replace the light bulb for the hazard switch on my 2005 6MT non-Nav TL and need some assistance removing the upper center console panel (center vents, clock, and hazard switch). I have the Acura shop manual and see to hooks going throught the center vents and they pull on the sides of the panel. I would rather not break plastic clips on that center console. How much fore is needed and are they any tips or tricks to doing this tasks? Thanks

Nah, just press in with your fingertips and pull out. It's in there pretty friggin' tight, so be prepared to use a bit of force.

Thanks, what helped me from your pictures was to pull with a slight upward angle and not horizontal.

You're right, you definitely need alot of force to get it off. Got it off with a coat hanger that I cut up and made a small J hook with a small handle. Replaced the light bulb and discovered my center speaker is missing two retainer clips.

AUGHHHHH!, the light bulb for the passenger warning light must have failed when I removed the center upper console. At least now I know how to get it out and replace it in 10 minutes.
