Exclamation HELP! plugged a/c drain ruined the ECU

I recently broke down on a road trip. The dealer I had it towed to said the A/C drain plug was clogged which caused water to run onto/into the ECU shorting it out and causing multiple mis-fires on all 6 cylinders. the Coil packs were ruined as well. They said Acura tech line was completely aware of this problem yet there is no fix for it!! thats pure shit!

has anyone heard of this happening and WTF should I do? I had it repaired already due to being out of town when it happened but Im pissed about the 1600 it cost me and knowing that it could potentially happen again and that they are aware of this problem! help an AZ member out!

holy crap never heard of this one before. but you should take it up to acura cust. service and start a case with them. 1600 bucks is pretty steep, and it wasnt your fault. poor design is to blame. the might give you a portion of the repair cost back.

I've read 2 other posts here on AZ regarding the same issue. I believe the last one was on an 08 a few months ago.
