Help Please! Airbag showing through the dash
I remember reading a thread here a while back about the airbag silhouette showing through the dash and that there was a member here showing how he removed it and also had a link to a TSB to get the problem fixed. I tried doing a search but for the life of me cant find it. Can someone post a link and help me out?

I didn't see any TSB on this issue. But I have seen members post up about cleaning the dash with water and then treating the area with Aerospace 303. Worth a try and it's great for the whole dash area.

will the 303 remove the lining of the airbag that is already starting to show through.
I looked on the TSB for the 3gtl but its not there...it might be under another car's tsb. I remember seeing the TSB saying using some kind of solution to lift off the oil and then conditioning it and giving the customer the solution to keep for themselves too.

Imagine on the passenger side on the dash, where the airbag is. A black rectangular silhouette is showing through and cleaning it doesnt get rid of it unless you do something more than just cleaning it.

I've used 303 and the Honda Vinyl/Leather Protectant. The 303 works but I have to say the Honda Vinyl/Leather Protectant seems to do a better job. The lines still come back after a while. The Vinyl/Leather Protectant can be tough to find at dealers but I saw it on line and had some thrown in an order of other stuff I was getting.

In fact check out this listing. http://www.bernardiparts.com/Departm...sCleaners.aspx The Honda branded stuff has always worked out well for my needs.

The dash board kicks my ass. I've been using 303 for over a year, clean my interior on average every 2 weeks, and I still get ashy lines and swirls. I did clean the dash with a mild soap solution about a year ago, too. Finally complained to the dealer a couple months ago and they offered a "leather treatment". It looked money and smelled like a new car, but dash is back to where it was before.
BTW, used the Honda Plastic Cleaner on my R6 when I was younger and it was scary how well that aerosol cleaned and shined all the plastic, vinyl and painted metal parts on my bike. Practically never had to wash it.

That's the stuff. It was called something like "Honda Plastic Cleaner" 7-8 years ago. It kept the perfect gloss on the entire bike...plastics, windscreen, black metal - Awesome stuff!
