Help! P0767
My shift solenoid D is stuck on and the engine light came on. However the D on the dash when you put it in drive isn’t blinking anymore. Some issues going on, I’ve been having horrible fuel economy but on top of that code I have an EVAP code giving me difficulties, P0455 & P0456, I replaced the purge valve solenoid a few thousand miles back and originally cleared all the lights. Then next thing I know I’m getting a tight fuel cap indicator on and off constantly for like a week or so before that check engine came on with EVAP codes. Then shortly later my car gets the new code, it already started to mess with how it’s shifting but I wasn’t driving long before i stopped, before this light came on this car has been giving me some rough change from reverse into drive and sometimes the gear changes are a lil rough or lagging. My current plan of attack is tranny fluid and then probably go after the shift solenoid D sensor for good measure. I’m really just praying at this moment that I didn’t fry my transmission and there’s someway I can get this resolved without a full work up

For the evap codes, inspect the flapper seal of your gas cap for damage, wear, dirt grime. Regardless, I would just replace it to rule it out.
For the P0767 code, I think you’re on the right track with the transmission solenoid. But also check the atf fluid level and color to ensure you don’t have a leak or a busted atf line at the radiator.

so i found a leak in my tranny hose line, fixed that. My fluid levels were low and the color wasn’t terrible but i did a flush as best i could, anyways i went ahead cleared the codes. haven’t put too much mileage on it since clearing but already, the gear changes extremely smooth and switching it from reverse to drive there’s not a huge clunky feeling shift there. i’ll make sure to check out that radiator but i think my P0767 code will resolve.... i pray at least for that. A lot more stress free if all i got is my evap issue and i’ll most definitely make sure to check out that area
