Help with Oxygen Sensor Related Codes

My Check Engine Light recent came on in my 2004 Automatic TL. I went to AutoZone and their reader showed the following codes:
P2240--02 Bank 2 Sensor 1 positive current circuit/open
P0154 02 sensor circuit no activity bank 2 sensor 1

The nearest dealer is 2 hours away. Any ideas as to the cause/solution that I might be able to fix? I hate to take a day off work if it is something simple (which I guess it isn't)

Thanks for any help!

Alright well it could be a few things you will need to do some diag before you start replacing things. Air/fuel bank 2 sensor 1 is located at the front of the motor, it could just be a bad air/fuel sensor or even a bad ecm/pcm or to update the software on the ecm/pcm, or a short in the wires between the ecm/pcm and the air/fuel sensor. To figure it out you will have to measure the resistance in the connectors and see if it meets specs. I would definetely bring it to the dealer and let them figure it out unless you have some mechanical knowlege, you just dont want to say that it is the sensor which is atleast $250 and that not fix your problem!

the o2 just doesn't have power. if it was a bad air/fuel sensor it would be wrong on both banks.

How do you know if it has power or not? There are 4 air/fuel sensors 2 on each bank, if sensors on both banks were bad there would be dtc's for them. The possibilities that it could be for his dtc's are bad sensor, open wire between sensor and ecm/pcm and or bad pcm. It could be any of these but what happens most often is bad air/fuel sensor on b2s1 and or ecm/pcm malfunction.

The local Honda dealer agreed to look at it. They normally don't. After running their diagnostics, they came up with the same codes, crosschecked the 02 sensor part number and found that it's the same part as a Honda. They ordered the part and will do the work. Acura said that I can send the part and the paid invoice to an Acura dealer with a letter and they will send it to Acura for my reimbursement.

Hopefully, it is the sensor.

All it takes to check is backprobe the wires at the ECU and see if your getting values within range. I don't have a schematic, so im not sure if power and ground are supplied by the ECU or somewhere else. And it being the first sensor then its probably failing the rationality test the ECU runs. On a HDS it'll show Pass/Fail or Completed/Not complete.
