HELP - Oil filter holder replacement

So I went to install a new oil filter on my 08 TL-S and it just kept spinning. I guess I need to replace my oil filter holder. How do I go about removing the old damaged filter holder and install the new one.

Right now rhe car is in the garage without a filter. Will it be okay to let the car sit for a day or two without the filter and no oil?

Thanks for any help and advice you may have.

Yes, should be OK to sit for a day or two without the filter and oil. Just don't start it. Maybe cover the hole with a rubberband and towel, and keep a pan underneath the holder. As for replacement, doesn't look too bad. Should replace the VTEC solenoid gaskets too while you're at it since you have to remove that. Roughly around 6:50 here:

Before you go to buying parts and spending the time to replace them, have you confirmed that it isn't the new oil filter that is the problem? Does the old filter thread on and tighten up fine or have you tried picking up a new one (can be any brand really) and see if it works?

As stated above, as long as you don't start the car you won't have any issues, just keep it covered just in case of oil drips or the off chance something finds its way inside.
