Help! New TPMS reads 1 psi after install
Hello all. Sorry if this topic has been covered, but I am having trouble with the tpms. The car is a 07 TL type s and I was wondering if there is a relearn procedure. I called Acura and they want to charge a minimum of $200 just to check the problem and maybe fix the issue by reprogramming the sensor. Please if anyone can help and sorry once again if this was covered.
P.s. I bought the replacement part at rockauto and it says to follow same relearn procedure as oem but no instructions.

Thank you for the reply. I just came back from a drive and it read for a while at the wrong psi then the system wiped out, like didn't display any psi to any tires. This was the same symptoms the original had. I wonder if it's possible the receiver went bad and not the sensor.

The same thing happened with the old sensor that's why I thought it was bad. So I had my tires replaced shortly after driving had the code for the sensor. It would read erratic psi like 60 psi when only being at 34 psi. After having a reading it wiped out the system then cycle all over again. This is why I replace the sensor.

Just as an FYI I purchased 4 of these last December when I replaced my tires for the first time on my '08 TL. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...981/16970019-P
had 10 years on the originals so figured I'd change them all with the new tires. They all showed 0 psi when starting and driving the car and literally within 30 seconds all 4 popped up with the tire pressure at once. Nothing was done by the Honda dealer where I got the new tires put on as they specifically asked me, when they were at that point, if I wanted them to program them and I said don't do a thing from what I read they'll show up automatically.
ETA: at the time they were installed all were 2 psi off but on their own they're all on the money to the correct psi now.
