HELP!! I need some explaining..

Hey Guys. Well last year in about November I ended up crashing into a pole because of the snow(car sucks in the snow).. anyways, the damage came out to about $10,000 more or less with about $5,000 just in parts..i got the car back last saturday and all was good until..

1st - I used to average about 20 mpg in the city now i'm averaging 6-7 mpg!! The ironic thing is that when i'm on the highway and i'm cruise controlling, i get about 36mpg..I've even gone so far as to use the cruise control when i'm doing 30 mph in the city lol

2nd - when i accelerate and then let go of the pedal, the car seems to studder

3rd - the temperate gauge seems to stay in the middle until I go on to the way where it sometimes goes all the way down to "C"..i know the radiator was damaged in the accident also so maybe that will help some of you to diagnose the problem. Then yesterday when i went to get gas, i shut the car off for maybe 5 minutes max and the temperature gauge went back down to "C" and took a while to get back to the middle even though the car had been on for about an hour before

Please guys I need some explaining!! Can somebody tell me what's going on with my baby..Thanks in advance

Sounds like you are still having issues from the accident and you need to take it back in until they are fixed.

Could be a bad thermostat not letting the engine heat up thust leaving the car running rich to help it warm up. Or the coolant level could be very low.

Low coolant, air bubble in the motor, bad temp sender, bad thermostat.

$10k for that?

Start with the thermostat (being stuck partially open).
