Help getting stock exhaust off
Help getting stock exhaust off
Idk if its cause im retarded or maybe it was because i cut my back bumper to fit the type S rear and coulnt finish in time befor the sun went down and my car died and now i dont have a rear bumper on my car but i am so damn frustrated i looked at those rubber clips for like 5 minutes and didnt even bother trying to take it off... how do u take off the exhaust through those rubber washers? also what size socket do i need for everything down there like the race pipe j pipe and stuff... thanks theres no DIY on it and ive searched and found nothing which means its probably alot easier then my frustrated head is making it seem thanks
Do you mean the exhaust hangers?
And i dont know what size sockets you need cuz i still have the stock exhaust haha
If you are talking about the exhaust hangers that are black and hold the exhaust up
you can just lube it up with soap. Make sure you get it all in there in the whole of the exhaust hanger not just on the hanger itself lol

Yep just lube up the exhaust hanger up with soap.
Put some soap on where the hanger is on the exhaust and move the hanger back and forth on the exhaust where you put the soap so its all in the exhaust hanger hole too if that makes sense?

Though I know its cake and bolt on, this is one install I'm willing to dish out $50 bux for.. LoL. As far as bolt size is concerned.. its gotta be a 10 or 12. Maybe an 8 or 14 .. but highly highly unlikely.

The main pipe needs to be disconnected at the 3rd cat first (then pull down away from the cat), so you can easily push the main long pipe toward the front of the car. Use a very large channel lock on the the exhaust support hanger, next to the rubber mount, pry against the channel locks with a very large flat head screw driver or medium size pry bar, pushing out the hanger from the rubber mount.
