HELLO acurazine,

i took my 04 tl base. with 64k to autozone because i had the check engine light on . they gave me the code P0496

definition:
EVAP system high purge flow probale cause
1. Blocked vapor canister
2. Faulty Vent solenoid
3. Faulty FTP sensor

has anyone have this problem? i already change the canister about 3 months ago and that code is still coming on. this is the last code i have, i used to get the oxygen sensors but i already change them and the code left. this is the only thing left. HELPP PLZZZ!!!!!

the canister vent shut valve is most likelty the problem.it comes seperate form the canister.

my car was a flood car, i think that takes all the warranties away? right? do u know canister vent shut valve goes at or how it looks like?

about midway to the back. about a foot before the tank. theres a cover remove it. theres a big canister, at the end a. oval box with a plug. thats the valve. it has for clips that hold it in.
