this happenes to all TL's. It happens usually at 50-55 miles per hour. What happens is that the motor runs at it harmonic something that causes the car to vibrate a little bit. If you have an 04, there is a dampner that the dealer has to install on your car, this will reduce the vibrations considerably. 05+ TLs have them from the factory. As for the gas issue, you do use premium fuel, 91+ octane? How many miles on the TL? I would recommend you check the engine air filter, the air in the tires and use some seafoam.

with that many miles, a seafoam treatment will help greatly.

keep it under 4000 rpm too
the vtec kicks in at 4700 to redline 7000
That is dumping gas in - makes a really cool sound- and makes car go fast
Seafoam= read gen 2 thread title, Seafoamed The Ol TL-
3 cans- 6 bucks each- tune up in a can
same product used in fancy $100 cleaing machines- but we do a better job of it
at home for $20

before i get seafoam. as i read Seafoamed The Ol TL- on gen 2 section. i'm assuming the same method for my 04 tl. put half of it can of liquid seafoam in to gas tank and car oil. (i don't know what pcv valve is i don't want to mess it that) after that drive for like 10 minutes or more then change to a new oil? if that correct?

thanks

put 1 can in 1/4 tank of gas to super clean it
put 1 can in the intake manifold vac line when engine is fully warm - its simple
wait 15 minutes then drive like escaped mental patient to clean out crud

When ready to change oil- add 1/2 to 1 can to engine oil and run 10-30 minutes then change oil and filter
read the last few pages of that thread for most recent tips and tricks

Exclamation Directions from SeaFoam for adding to crankcase oil

Below is the official Sea Foam recommendation for adding this treatment to your oil:

"Sea Foam Motor Treatment used in Crankcase oil
All Gasoline and Diesel, Rotary style engines

Sea Foam Motor Treatment may be used in an oil crankcase 2 separate ways, depending on your needs and expectations.

Sea Foam Motor Treatment is most commonly used as a pre service old oil residue cleaner and moisture drier, and is also used as an after service additive.

1. As a pre service cleaner for old oil residue, sticky rings or valve train noise,
pour 1 ½ ounces of Sea Foam Motor Treatment into the engine oil crankcase for EACH quart of oil capacity including filter. (Diesels use 1 pint to 4 gallons of oil, please) Drive a MINIMUM of 30 minutes/miles, MAXIMUM 100 miles, then do your oil change service (LOF). This begins the process of safely/slowly re liquefying the old oil residue so contaminants may flow and be filtered. This also makes your old oil dirtier, quickly, so a LOF service is necessary when the oil gets dirty. (LOF = Lube oil & Filter service).

2. As an after service additive into fresh oil, nearly fresh oil, or oil (used condition) that is NOT ready to be changed (by mileage), put the same amount of Sea Foam Motor Treatment into the crankcase as described above, then SELF SET a program to MONITOR your oil for color and clarity on a mileage, timed, or event basis (like every time you add fuel, etc.) to determine when an oil service is necessary. (LOF)

Sea Foam Motor Treatment will safely and slowly re liquefy old oil residue, This will make your oil need changing BEFORE your normal scheduled LOF service. Only your monitoring of the oil for color and clarity can tell when it is time to do LOF - oil change service, or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Check your oil and monitor its color & clarity to determine need for LOF service!

Change your oil when it gets dirty!
