Headlights Auto Off Question

I recently bought a used 08 TL-S. I set all of the keyless memory settings, but can't seem to delay the headlights turning off. Basically what happens is the headlights turn off with the ignition - no delay regardless of Headlight Auto Off Timer setting. Believe me it isn't a big deal, but they should do what they are designed to do. My wife's 07 MDX does this.
Anyone have any experience with this or am I overlooking another setting that is trumping this setting?

Don't have the Auto headlights, but doing some reading it looks as though the headlights turn off with the ignition when set on Auto. Looks like to have the headlights remain on, it must be set to on.
Here's some reading:

Hmmm - I will need to play around with this a little more. Like I said above, my wife's 07 MDX does what I would expect it to do. Have the Auto Off setting set to 30 seconds and have the headlight switch itself set to Auto (meaning they turn on and off automatically with the light sensor.) I was reading through the owner's manual and it says there is a default setting to 15 seconds for both the headlights and the interior lighting. So I may reset all of the settings to be the factory set default and see what happens.
It doesn't seem like rocket science - but maybe I'm missing something simple.

I can't get your link to work as it looks like you only pasted part of it.

The Forum drops part of the address, so Google:
2008 auto off head light setting (spelled this way) and it will be the first listing on the Acura world forum.

Thanks Turbonut.

I read that forum and while I understand what the posters are saying - it doesn't make sense. In order for this to work - I have to leave my headlights on? Like I mentioned above - we have a 2007 MDX and it works the way it is supposed to. Next time I am in to the dealer - I am going to ask about this.
Again - thanks for your help and support on this.

Turbonut is right. This is how our headlights work. Leave them "on" and they'll turn off when they're programmed to. They'll also turn on when you disarm the keyless entry as well.

So when you start the car the headlights turn on right?

I'm curious also, so the next time you're in the dealership reply back as to the Auto headlights function. Every auto headlight on/off I've owned they will come on when the outside lighting dims in the evening, and will turn off at an allotted time after the ignition is switched off. Of course I wouldn't know how Acura programs this feature as our '04 TL didn't have it available.
