Headlight replacement
Headlight replacement
One of my TL headlights is gone. I've had this car for almost 3 years and this will be my first time replacing them.
From research, I found the stock lights are 35W D2S. From the color chart it seems they are 6k. Anyways, can someone recommend good quality or brand? Also, If I want them a bit more bluish, which brightness/color should I go for?

the stock bulbs are indeed 35w D2S. the stock kelvin rating is 4300k. i would recommend sticking with the Philips brand as they are the OEM brand. the original bulbs in my car lasted 7+ years. if you want more blue your target rating would be 6000k. i would recommend buying from the theretrofitsource.com as they are a reputable and well known company that do not sell knock-offs.
im using the philips 85122xv, perhaps you would be interested in the 85122 wx ultinon model.

Really appreciate your input. I would rather go by the word of community members than the fake reviews online

Also another question is that past few days we had heavy thunderstorms and had to deal with a lot of rain. So the night before the light was working fine, there was no discoloration, and the next evening one light was out. What are the other components I need to check before I order the bulbs. I am thinking about swapping the bulbs to see if it is actually the bulb or igniter/ballast.
Can someone comment on these? To me they look authentic and the seller even lays out the method to check the authencity with serial numbers. Like you are supposed to enter serial number from the bulbs here (http://trust.osram.info/appsinfo/tru...ntend/trust.do) and it will generate another serial number that should match the second serial number on the bulbs.
