Headlight issue
Headlight issue
My 2004 TL i noticed that the headlight wouldn't come on some of the time but other times it would. Now it never comes on and I was at autozone and asked him about bulbs and he said that they are expensive but he said that if it would sometimes not turn on and other times it would turn on that it might be the "ignitor". What do you guys think.
Also, what is clearing the lights?

Clearing headlights is time consuming and you have to have patience.
You stick your headlights in the oven at 220 degree for about 20 mins, in order to open them up. there are plenty of DIYs on acurazine
the "ignitor" is called a ballast. you can do a simple test, by switching ballasts from one head light to the other. if the problem follows the ballast, then its the culprit.

Is it hard to switch the ballast? Do you think this is covered by the warranty?
There is an ignitor and a ballast.. try swapping ballasts between headlights first and see if that works, then you'll know if it's the ballast. The ignitor plugs in from the ballast to your headlight bulb and then grounds out behind the projector. Althought 9 times out of 10 it'll be the ballast.. You may have a little moisture in the ballast
