Headlight bulb & Turn signal help.

Headlight bulb & Turn signal help.
06 TL. All stock.
Left headlight went out and at the same time the left turn signal (inside the car) is constantly lit. Turn signals and hazards wont work anymore, no clicks, no flashes.
I took out the left bulb, but I can't really tell if it's dead or not. When I shake it I can hear the filaments(?) inside move around - like that sound you hear on a dead light bulb you use in your house.
I checked the fuses under the hood, behind the air box, none are blown.
I have a pair of D2S' on order. I hope replacing the headlight resolves everything all together.
What I am looking for though is if it in fact will resolve it or do I have more work to do to get the turn signals working.
This sounds dumb, but is the turn signal pointing to the left stuck on to indicate which side of the headlight is out?
