Head Rebuild?
For reference: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/blew-my-coil-pack-908888/
If it comes to it, I have a quick question to anyone who has rebuilt/disassembled/modified their heads. I was given a price of $3000 for a "complete head" plus new gaskets, etc including 7 hours labor.
My question, is it possible to order a head casing, rather than a complete built head? Then go about removing all of my current head internals and installing into new said casing? If so, anyone who has done this work how long did it take? Is it cost effective or should I just use the time-cert method and be back VTEC'n?

I would go with the time-cert inserts if I need to pay for it myself.
Mod: close/remove thread please?

Rear cylinder head (Bare) from Acura is $642/$481 and having the valves machined, installed, shouldn't be anywhere near the cost of a new head assembly of $1218/$914. Probably around $200+$642+labor ($700)=@$1600.
Used cylinder heads on car-part $150/$200 in Canada.

So is this being covered by a warranty and you're trying to pocket some money? Hopefully the new heads come with the seats and guides already installed. If so it would be cost effective to transfer everything over.
It's not hard to transfer over the hardware but it is time consuming. You'll want new valve seals when you do it and it would be a very good idea to lap the valves in which also consumes time when you have 24 of them but very little money.
