Question Hard Low Speed Steering?

Some questions for you folks. I noticed that at very low speeds or stopped, if I need to make a sharp turn with one hand on the steering wheel (I have my parking swipe card in the other hand), it is very difficult to turn the steering wheel. It's a combination of the leather on the steering wheel being slippery (I've only had the car for a couple of weeks) and low power assist. do you fellows find the same thing? Doesn't the Acura use the electric power assist (to conserve HP) as well as lowering the power assist as the vehicle speed increases? I would have expected more power assist while the vehicle is not moving.

Maybe I've gotten used to the steering wheel feel when the car is not moving, but I dont really notice any difference.

I find it to get a good bit harder to turn as well. I was thinking that the tires grip more (HPT) at low speed, but I doubt its because of that.
