HAHA a Whole New Level of S.O.L.

Well since I have had the rear clunk, brake noise, and 3rd gear notch for sometime now without any luck by the dealer to replicate, I finally called and started a case number.

She was very polite but said that they didn't have to fix anything that they couldn't replicate, even when there is a tsb(unless recall), and that the dealer does not have to provide the customer with a loner since they are privately owned and it is up to their discretion(depending on if you bought the car from their dealership or not).

BUT MY CASE NUMBER HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED.

I got rid of the jeep cause I didn't want to work on trucks or cars anymore but i guess I'll have to buy a set of tools today cause I am sick of this F!@#$ng stuff.

Ya did the bushings today but don't have all the tools to get to the strut bolts.
I'll have to go buy ramps, floor jack, socket set, and fluid to change the lube.

We still should not have to go buy tools and waste time and money fixing things that should be a problem in the first place. Wondering more and more if i should have chosen another brand.

+ I vote GM synchromesh friction modified. Still kicking myself for not doing it earlier. Night and day difference

Yeah, I hear you but the rewards of the GM stuff are well worth it and your not likely to get the dealer to do that.

Also, you got rid of all your tools with your Jeep ? Dang, never get rid of the tools man, never !

I am an ASE master tech and I purchased the TL with an extended warranty for the same reason; so that I wouldn't have to work on my OWN car. So far the warranty has lived up to that. I haven't had to touch my own car. It does take persistance or ( nagging) to get them to fix it for you. Be NICE but firm and consistant and they will eventually fix your problem(s). I have had 2 transmissions, several interoir bulbs replaced, and a few rattles repaired on my TL. I only had to fix one rattle myself, all others they have taken care of.
