going for service and need help!!!

Cool going for service and need help!!!

I am going to the dealer for service on Wednesday and have some issues that I need advice on. I have several illumination lights out (steering wheels audio controls, heated seats on both switches, and my mirrors are turning brown???) I spoke to the dealer when I called and made my appointment and he said "we'll see what we can do". Has anyone else had these issues and if so were you able to get the dealer to do anything about it?? It seems to be a common problem, you would think that Acura would do a service bullitin on it?? I have only had my TL for about a year and this is the dealer that I bought it from. It's an 04 SSM 5AT with 49,000 miles. Thanks guys and gals!!

Got to say that cars do have items that need to be replaced at the owner's expense, but the heated mirrors turning brown is certainly an annoyance and mirror glass isn't even covered under the B to B CPO warranty. Guess you've got to see what the dealer can do for you, but it may be nothing.

I just can't believe that this is suppost to be a "luxury" car but have all these tic taccy things going wrong!! I expect more froma honda!!

the bulbs going out is common for the TL, but very unusual for a car of this caliber. As far as the mirrors turning brown, what usually happens is the tint in the glass literally burns from the excessive heat from the mirror heaters.

I am having the same issue with my '05 TL DGP. Is it possible to re-tint the mirrors?
