Getting stuck at 1,500 rpms
I can't find a good thread related to this issue so I'm going to post and if anyone find another thread please post it here! My 2006 to when accelerating seams to kinda get stuck at 1,500 rpms, and if I push the gas pedal a little harder it will jump back up to 2, usually around 40 45mph and it kinda vibrates a little, it's not crazy but noticeable. Trans issue? The throttle body is clean, or could it be a torque converter issue? I'm not sure!

So the guy I had bought it from never changed the fluid I'm pretty sure, it had 100,000 miles on it when I bought it, I have changed it once and I'm doing a 3x3 very slowly.aybie even a 4x4 haven't changed the pressure switches as I'm confused by how many, locations ect. Even when I read about them lol I'm not the most savvy car person, but im learning!!

Hold down map/guide - menu button & cancel at the same time for about 3 seconds. I believe a menu will come up where you can view all stored codes, dates and times. Click on XM(ECU) option and diagnostic info

No the car doesn't lurch at all! it makes a noise though, the best way to describe the noise is its a humming noise, like going from 0 to 10 mph but constant. Now don't hate me, but i have no idea how to use the manual mode, i cant even drive a stick! wide open throttle correct? Im not sure about that, any way to check? Just stomp the gas? You seam like you know your stuff i appreciate your help immensely. after changing the app sensor though the car has a much easier time passing 2,000 rpms (:

Getting stuck at 1500\2000 range also
Went to auto zone because the engine light came on then started flashing the code reader said all 6 cylinders were misfiring and a couple of randoms as well. They said the fix was spark plugs. Ok stop back up when this all happened there wasn't a problem with the rpm. So I changed the plugs and it actually ran worse drove for about 3 or 4 blocks and it wouldn't get over 2000 rpm and 15 to 30 mph and would drive like it was over heating and would die after going a mile or 2 .let it cool down started right up and would do the same thing I even changed the coils still the same. Someone told me it could be the crank shaft positioning sensor but I can't find what the o6s look like or where it is exactly so I can't change what I can't find so annoying.that's what I got sorry for the long book.

The service manual is not very helpful in how to proceed. It only says to "Do the applicable troubleshooting for ECM/PCM".

Was the misfire your original problem?
Limp mode is the a new problem that only started after you replaced the plugs?

Got it. I've never driven a non-LSD automatic TL on a bad road, but I can see how VSA might make control of the vehicle a challenge. On the cars with manual transmissions, the LSD works seamlessly on rough roads without the need to disable VSA; that said, I imagine the VSA programming is a bit different on the cars with an integrated LSD.
