Gear indication problem after replacing Transmission Range Switch
So I was having the issue of the green D light blinking pretty much all the time. I had the P1717 CEL code so I ordered the transmission range switch 28900-RYF-023. I replaced it today, I out the transmission in neutral first before I started, as I read to do that since the new switch is defaulted to neutral. I took the cable off the switch assembly and disconnected the harness, everything was fairly simple I made sure everything lined up when I put the new switch in. Put everything back to normal and turned the car on, and Park, Reverse, and Neutral indicated on the dash but when I put it in Drive the green D doesn't even show up. Low shows and Manual does also, but now manual shifting doesn't even work now and the numbers don't show up anymore either on the left side of the dash. I drove it around and everything worked normal besides manual shifting not working anymore. So now I'm not sure what to do, any suggestions?

you will need to readjust the sensor, chance when you tighten down the nuts its move slightly and cause it out of alignment. Another symptom you forget to mention is that some time the car grabbing the gear extra hard, this is why I used a paint marker and mark the spot before remove the old sensor.
