Front Passenger seat leather ripped terribly!!
Depends on where you live I'm. I googled reupholstery car seats and found a couple a shops. I took my 04 tl to them and had them quote me a price. Much cheaper than the dealer. Some of them even just replace the damaged section.
TL leather is dried rat shit stitched together. Cheapest fix is to order a few yards of perforated leather and repair it yourself. Seat removal is easy, getting all the connectors apart, disassembling and reassembling is a bit of a pain but not that bad.
Hardest part will be leather matching. If it's just the lower section you can pretty much cut it out and run leather staples or get a good leather needle with strong nylon / teflon coated thread and stitch it in.
If it sounds like too much for you to handle, call around as suggested but take a look at their work first and get a clear timeline how long they'll need the car for the fix. You don't want to be out of commission for over a month. Some shops just sit on jobs and give you the runaround, definitely not something you'll want to deal with.
Alternatively, scrap yards. You'll probably have to pay for the whole seat though which will run you a few bills, maybe less if you pick it out yourself.
