Front End Squeak @ 3,000 mi - 06 MT
Took my TL to the dealer today to check out a front end suspension squeak on the drivers side. It happened when I would enter or exit the car and I could reproduce it by pushing down on the front end. I dropped the car off this morning, took my TSX loaner and headed off to work.
About 2:00 I get a call from the dealer letting me know that they need to replace the ball joint and control arm. Parts had to be ordered so they are keeping it overnight. The service manager didn't know what to say other than he was shocked to find these parts were bad on a TL with less than 3,000 miles. I have never hit more than a pothole with it so that doesnt explain it either. But hey, that's what warranties are for right?
As an aside, the service at Acura of Brookfield was top notch and I wouldn't trade my TL for anything comparable. Can't wait to have it back, the TSX is no slouch but give me the TLs sweet V6.

wi_badger...wow sorry to hear about this. We have never had this issue come to our dealership yet. My 05 tl has 12k's on it and I haven't heard anything as well.
If you don't mind..please keep us informed on this.

Follow-Up
Picked up the car on Friday evening, unfortnately all the service staff were gone for the day so I didn't get an explanation but here is what the service order has to say:
Replace Knuckle - 415199 07701
Lube Ball Joint 415099 03214
Parts:
- 44300-SDA-A52 Bearing, Fr. Hu
- 51215-SEP-A01 Knuckle, L. Fr
The squeak is gone and they touched up a paint chip on my door at no charge. They were also supposed to clean a grease stain I found under my floor mat when I went to clean the interior 1 month after delivery. I assume it was there before I picked up the car because the floor mats were in at delivery. They hadn't clean it when I picked it up but they grabbed a kid from the detailing area and he took care of it before I left.
Again, I can't say enough about the great service staff at Acura of Brookfield.
