Front Drive Shakes

'06 TL

Trying to figure out what is wrong with my car. 60K miles on the vehicle.
Over the past month or so when I reach about 20-30mph, I can feel the front shake and along with it a rattle heard in the front passenger side wheel area. The rattle only happens when the front shakes. Nothing noticable in the steering wheel. When I reach a higher speed it goes away but still feel a small amount of shake but not real noticable.
It has been in the dealer couple times in the past month and they said everything looks good in the suspension and steering and not sure what is going on. They can't seem to duplicate the problem. I had them balance the tires and change the ATF and still the problem is there.

I'm not sure where to go further with this. I am thinking of getting a new drive shaft and bringing it into another shop in order to have the shaft replaced. Even if it doesn't look bad. But I figure while they are doing the work to see if they notice anything else wrong that could be the culprit.

Any suggestion or anyone else had this problem?

Im having some sort of the same problem. I got new wheels and tires and balanced them as well. I did the 3x3 flush with redline. I have ordered axles already and I plan to change them. When you do plan on changing the axles, make sure you give the mechanic whatever ATF fluid you want to use because it will drain out when he pulls out the axles. Mines as well do another drain and flush.

I will buy 3 qt of Honda/Acura ATF to give the mechanic. I also notice too when I start to drive the vehicle when it's cold and give it gas, i can hear one click on the front passenger side area. After a little bit the click goes away.

Axles.... replace them. If you only have only money to do one... the passenger side is the one that wears out first.

Question...

On the passenger side there is a half shaft along with the outer axle shaft. Does the inner shaft wear out much? I am planning on replacing the outer axle shaft.

I believe its the inner thats the main problem where it makes the connection with the tranny. I could be wrong... so someone else needs to chime in. I replaced the entire axle on both sides under warranty so not a 100% sure.

But I know for a fact the passenger side is more of a culprit to the floor driveline vibration at those speeds.

Axles shipped and will be replaced this week. Hope it fixes the problem. Sounds like a can of nails rattling on the passenger side when it does rattle.

It seems that the problem has been resolved. Drove the car after it was fixed and drove smooth with no shaking or noise. Haven't driven it since as I am overseas for the next few months. Ordered both front axles and had a mechanic replace them. After they called and said the car was shaking a lot going down the road. They looked and the left shaft looks like it had a slight bend in the shaft. So I had them order a new left shaft and replace the one that I supplied. All is done with both shafts replaced and now the problem is gone.

LoL. You didn't read this thread at all did you. I specifically stated if you can only replace one axle do the passenger side. Now call up Lex and get the passenger side done and report back.

Btw ... No need to get OEM if not under warranty. Just get the one from Advanced Auto. They just as good and have a lifetime warranty. If your lowered these axles will keep wearing out as its not designed to take stress at those geometrics on top of NYC roads.

still hoping to come up with an answer.......

04 TSX 6MT >83k

vibration upon accelleration. most prominent between 20-40 AND 60+
almost like a shudder - more noticeable upon harder acceleration

replaced passenger axle and bearing - no change

experienced BOTH with summer rims and stock mounted with snow tires (no flat spots, bend rims: not a tire issue)

on a lift, car did not appear to vibrate, all axles and joints looked up to specs, but vibration was felt by driver

no play, nothing out of character, checked rack and pinion

didn't appear to be motor mount issue

at this point I am waiting for it to break so I will at least know what I needed to fix
