Hey everyone,

Since it has been getting a little colder, my front brakes are making a squealing noise for the first stop then after that it goes away. I cleaned and applied additional lubricant, but it still does it. I am currently running OEM pads with about 4k miles on them.

My friend suggested going with an aftermarket Akebono brake pads, but I just had the brakes done not too long ago.

Is this normal with OEM pads at about 37-40 degrees?

EDIT: 2008 Acura TL Base with 56k miles

 

what kinda/brand name pads did you use?

 

I am running OEM Pads from Acura.

 

Mine does the same thing but i got cheap pads lol. I got new one but too lazy to install.

 

It looks like Akebono aren't too expensive, $60ish for the front. Might have to just pick them up and slap them on
