Hello,While doing a bit of work on my car today, I saw the item in the attached picture.
It was lying on top of my starter but I can’t imagine anything staying put on top of the starter for longer than a few trips.
My best guess is that it was in my battery tray. When I removed my battery tray, I’m guessing the item dropped on top of my starter.
The car was at a dealer last summer for an alignment. Before that, it was at a dealer maybe five years ago for a compliance bushing installation.
I’m thinking it may belong to some sort of diagnostic equipment, in which case I shouldn’t worry. However, it looks like it may also fit over some sort of sensor.
Any thoughts?

Funny you mention poop. Last week, I chased off a 50 pound raccoon that was nesting in the garage.

To thank me, he left a bunch of poop. At least he left it far away from the car.
