Flying Debris

I need some assist here if possible. I was cruising on I85 minding my own when a piece of high density plastic flew from a truck and hit me. It was one of those thin white picture frame size 18x20. Kind of like a honeycomb design. Either way it hit at about 80mph. It careened up my passenger headlight assembly, curled over the hood, up the wind shield, and against the upper pillar and off. Believe it or not no dents or dings. The hood sustained a bit of what I would call an abrasion. I think a good buff will fix it. The problem is the upper pillar. It has a rubber coating on it from bottom to top. When this thing hit me it took a shaving off the pillar for about 3 inches. Right down to the base of the pillar metal.

Has anyone changed this out before?

Sorry no pictures yet.

I am assuming you are talking about the rubber strip that is ontop of the windshield right next to the Pillar?

Item Number 13/19

Part Number for the Right side is 73153-SEP-A01 Cost is 32.76

Part Number for the Left side is 73163-SEP-A01 Cost is 32.76

Installation, it pops out, but this strip goes all they way to the back of the roof.

I think Jesstzn removed this strip when he did a black vinyl roof. I think, PM him and he may give you some insight
