flickering sidemarker

Hey everyone,

Over the past few months, my front driver sidemarker has been flickering occasionally. It will work fine for about a week, then it will flicker, then it will stop working altogether. This cycle has been repeating lately. I am guessing it is just a loose wire somewhere. I made sure the wiring harness was tightly attached to the sidemarker but this is not the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

does both of the front one does that or just one side? if its just one side most likely moisture got into it and you have to replace it.

No worries. I had the EXACT same problem with mine. I believe it may be corrosion of the wires inside. I replaced all 4 of my side lights to Type S ones recently and the flickering went away. It may be that your side marker is shot. Mine was, and I have 105K on the body. You can find side marker replacements generally cheap on ebay. You will have to take apart the wheel-well to get to the light if you do go down that path. Though the back ones are a tad bit more complicated, with the bumper being removed.

Here's a link to an ebay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...#ht_1805wt_795

Hope this helps out a little.
