Flickering headlight

so my pass side headlight started flickering sunday nite. on monday i unplugged it for a min or two, plugged it back in tested it and was working fine. that nite it was fine and the next night it was fine. tonite it went out again.

so i did a search and alot of people are saying its most likely the ignitor wire going bad, in which when i unplugged it i unplugged the ignitor wire from the ballast. so im gonna go that thats my issue.

my question is, can i use a plug and play d2s hid kit? reason i ask is bcuz that ignitor wire i looked up on aoem parts is almost 170 bucks... just for a wire.

when i did do a search people have asked the same question and then the topic goes dead.....so thats why im asking again

its pretty easy to troubleshoot this, if you are getting power and ground to the ignitor, then your bulb is toast.

After spending countless hours on HID problems, here are my conclusion:
1.) Most likely item to go bad is the ballast. Find a replacement at: www.theretrofitsource.com
They may have the ignitor wire you were asking. Ask for Nate Brick.
2.) If HID light turns on & off, it may be the connector having a loose wire in the plug. Check the electrical contact & crimp the wire tight.
3.) If HID flickers like a disco strobe light, check the fuse.

I've never encountered any moisture in my headlight assembly so can't help in this area. Good luck
