I read earlier in this thread that if you hear a ticking sound or clicking sound coming from the engine then its most likely that one of the plugs could be loose. Is that what you call a misfire ?
Can't be sure until the cylinder/plug has been checked, but sure sounds like the plug came loose and blew out. You may get lucky and only be out the cost of a coil pack and plug.

And I'd go back and redo all of your plugs using anti-seize and 13 ft-lbs per the service manual specs. If you choose not to use anti-seize, then I'd probably follow NKG spec (18 ft-lbs). Don't rely on "feel" to tighten the plugs. Lesson learned probably....

And I asked about proper torque on the spark plug, not gap. And whether or not you used anti-seize on the plug threads per the service manual procedure.
I had an engine misfire code right before my plug blew out. So I suspect the plug was loose despite my tech saying that he always torques to mfg spec.

But the question is: Which mfg spec did he use? Acura or NKG?

He said he always uses engine manufacturer torque spec because warranties are on engines not plugs.

So he used 13 ft-lbs?? Did he use anti-seize on the plug threads?
