Factory subwoofer quit working

Just noticed other day that the subwoofer stopped working. I can go from +6 to off and there is no difference in bass. It has been very cold here.

Any ideas? The audio system is all stock.

Thanks

The subwoofer is probably toast. If it was an amp problem, it would probably manifest itself on other speakers too. Check all the other speakers using Balance/Fade, and if it all checks out, disconnect the sub's wiring harness and measure the impedance of the subwoofer coil. I think you're looking for 2 Ohms, but I'm not 100% on that. If I'm wrong, I think someone will say so lol.

Chimming in on this one..

It COULD be the amp, my amp is messed up and creates a buzzing on all speakers and the sub has quit working as well. You can have the amp repaired for 150 just google it

^or $125 through Carstereohelp.com (located near Orlando fl), you would have to ship it to them if not local. Took them 1 day to fix.

I had extremely low volume (even when turned up) and sub didn't work at all. After fix, all is good again!
