I went to my local Acura dealership looking for a new pair of OEM exhaust tips and the Parts Rep told me I need the whole exhaust and pay nearly $600 for it???

Is this true??

You don't have to buy the whole exhaust.
I'm just guessing but I would imagine the tips would cost around $75 for the pair.

Yea I tried to explain to the parts guy that it didn't make sense since I could buy any aftermarket tip and install it. All I want is a new set of OEM tips since my current ones are scratched up and don't look good at all.

Any place online for me to buy the OEM tips?

Unfortunatly for OEM tips you will need the whole exhaust system.. Your best bet is to go aftermarket or contact ATLP and ask them to send you a pair of BASE model ATLP performance tips.

Call around to salvage yards in your area.

Just curious how bad are the scratches? Take pictures and post.

Why don't you try polishing them with high grit wet/dry sand paper? Depending on how deep I would try 600 grit, then a 1000grit and follow up with 1500-2000 grit. Then apply never dull or an aluminum/metal polish of your choice.
