My car had a bit of a hit and run. I found it at the parking lot dented up. Just a bit of a scrape and dent at the body at the front right. Not sure what it's called but its the body part right above the front right tire. Quite a scrape and a dent. I was wondering if that piece is replacable or I have to take it to an autobody shop? If it is replacable does anyone know the part number and for how much? Thanks in advance. Oh and my right passanger mirror as well. Seems though that the mirror housing is fine and the motor works but my mirror fell of somehow... Please help. Thanks.

 

I think the piece you are refering to is the fender. I think its cheaper to just have the body shop fix it. I'm not an expert on this so maybe someone else can answer your question. gl

 

ouch sorry to hear about the hit and run. The fender can be fixed by any body shop, make sure they paint-match the fender to the rest of the car. As for the side view mirror, I smell an upgrade to 07 side view mirror opportunity

 

What is different with the '07 side mirrors? Don't know what the '07 looks like. I thought it was the same side mirrors...?

 

Oh NVM I looked at and 07 side mirrors. Yeah I think you're right. Anyone know where to get them for a good price? Also I'm looking to get the '07 tail lights as well. Where is everyone getting them and for how much?

 

I am sure it can be fixed, just get at least 3 estimates, don't go to the low one, don't go to the high on. Look for at least a 3 year 36000 mile warranty. These shops that don't warranty thier work just piss me off!

 

You might also want to try paintless dent repair. Have the dent pulled out then have a shop or someone touch the scrape up. About a month ago i let my father borrow my car and he then noticed two small dents on the passenger front door, i was soo pissed because i am so careful with my car. I had the dent doctor pull both dents out for $30, then i bought some touchup paint for the small paint chip, and now you probably couldnt even tell the dents and scrape were there, you might be able to see where i touched up the spot but you probably would have to know where it is or study it closely!

 

The price for a new fender is 282.40 and it comes painted already so I think I might just go that route. The thing I'm not more concerned about is if the 07 tl-s side mirrors will fit on my 06 tl???

 

nvm. I just finally found a thread that confirmed the 07 tl-s side mirrors will fit on my 06 tl with very slight moding.
