Every light flickering! Huge annoying problem
about a week ago my lights started flickering lightly but now i just cannot stand it and i do not want to get pulled over. I had a bad alternator and got it replaced about a 2 months ago so i didnt think it was a alternator problem.
i also went to autozone and they ran some tests on the alternator and battery saying they were all working properly and that i should probably take it to a dealership but i dont want it to cost me an arm and leg to get it fixed
the lights that flicker is pretty much everything my interior, tailights, break lights, parking break lights, console lights and not the headlights from what i can tell.
could i please get some help?
i heard it may be wiring or something not positive
also when i power on my car there is no problem and the light does not flicker but when i start my engine it starts again...

WOW, I thought I was the only one with this problem. I had the same thing happen to me and it turned out to be the voltage regulator connector to the alternator (gray cord). In my case (maybe similar to yours) the connector was damaged/weak and it would cause the voltage regulator to malfuntion sending voltage spikes thru the entire electrical system. When my mechanic hooked up the alternator to an oscilliscope, he found irregular voltage patterns. All in all, I swapped out my alternator and everything was fine. Very wierd problem tho.
So what I recommend is that you check out that connector (gray cord on the right side of the alternator) and run your car with the headlights and parking lights on and wiggle around the connector to see if the flickering noticed in the corner light stops or is reduced. Being that you just replaced your alternator(possibly got a faulty one), I suspect this is the problem. Let me know if this helps.
