Ethos Fuel Reformulator

This sounds soo hoaky, but after doing quite a bit of research, I think this product is the real deal. Basically, it is a fuel additive that allows the engine to burn more of the fuel, which releases less hydrocarbons (which are simply unburned fuel particles). This product reduces emissions and increases gas mileage. It has been featured on many news channels who have done their own real world test. I have included some links to the reviews. I would love to hear if anyone is using this, or what you may think.

Why dont you get a bottle with its double money back guarantee and let us know if the 2+ dollars of product used per tankful gives you more than 25-30 more miles on the same amount of fuel?
That would be the break-even point on its use.
Seafoam will clean everything really well too for 7 bucks!
Our cars barely read on the smog test now- I just got 0 and 1 as readings, how much lower than zero can it go?
I use a fuel line magnet so I am willing to accept that molecular changes do occur~
Check it out and let everyone know!!!

I bought 2 bottles to try out. I have a 95 Maxima along with an 04 TL. I will definitely try it on the Maxima first, and see if I get results. If I do, then I will surely let everyone know. It supposedly really helps older cars, so the results in the Maxima (which has much more engine build up than the newer TL) will probably be greater. The more I read about this product from different blogs and independent websites (not just the company's website), the more excited I am about trying it.....

do it on the TL- thats what we all really care about!
Of course anything works on older dirty vehicles, how does ir help a nice clean modern Ultra low emission car- and for how much per gallon- its all about payback

Read the gen2 thread Seafoamed the Ol TL for a great product that cleans injectors pistons... all the stuff really well. Then use the gas stuff as a pure mileage increser and see what happens!!

A modern OBD2 car puts out almost no hydrocarbons out the exhaust, its in the parts per million, and the TL is an ULEV which means its even lower.

I would not even think about stuff like that, and would tend to not add anything extra to the fuel or oil in my cars.

The EPA is actually required by law to fully investigate any product that is released that claims to improve gas mileage. The idea behind the law is that, if there really is a product out there that improves gas mileage, then everyone should know about it.

So far out of the hundreds of fuel additives and gizmos, zero have been proven effective at increasing gas mileage.

Previous posters are correct. Modern vehicles produce nearly zero hydrocarbon emissions. The amount of hydrocarbons released has to do with the air/fuel ratio. Modern cars electronically control the mixture nearly perfectly. Adding stuff to the gas won't reduce the hydrocarbon emissions because they're already practically zero. You might gain 10 cents at the gas pump, but you'll have paid $2 a bottle to get it
