Question Engine vibration at 1500 rpm and 55mph

My 2006 TL with 43,000 miles seems to be working hard in 5th at 1500 rpm and 55 mph. I bought it used so can't say what it was like off the lot. An Acura service dept said that is just what these cars are like - they hit top gear and lower rpm's sooner to improve mileage. I have not been able to verify the vibration in a similar car. Anyone else have this?
Also, all of the heater control backlights on the center of the dash are out except for the Auto buttons. Are these snap out bulbs? Does it seem normal that they would burn out?

Welcome to the forum

The 3g garage is a great place. The problem you mentioned is thoroughly documented. There are a bunch of other solutions/diy's availible in the 3G garage.

Good luck finding what your looking for. The search term "A-010: Driveline vibration" might help you out.

You should barely hear the engine drone I mean it will be very little and not annoying. Mine is an 06 and it is pretty quiet. I would look into getting the motor mounts replaced particular the front ones and I would get the TSB done as well it is a damper install fix that surpresses the vibration.

Even with a cold engine mine barely has any noticable vibration when it locks up at 55mph. Idle should be very smooth too.

The first and easiest thing to check is the engine mounts. There's a vacuum line that softens the mount at idle and low throttle and firms it up as you give it throttle. It affects idle most of all but a quick visual to see if the vacuum line is hooked up is free and easy.

I would say check for misfires if it does this when it locks the convertor but the TL is quick to throw a check engine light as soon as misfires are detected.
