I'm writing from Poland.
I've got a 06 Base TL with AT and 77.000mls.
Spark plugs have just been changed.
Lately I've noticed a problem:
When the engine is cold and I want to start it, it starts unwillingly and I even have to floor the pedal.
When I stay in P or go to N it still idles, but when I want to go to D or R and want drive, it suddenly turns off and I have to restart. (Or I have to do a burnout to get off)
This only happens when the engine is cold.
After some time of driving when it gets warm and I stop and pop up the hood and go to the front, I can see that it is running roughly and shaking a bit.
I've been driving this car since 2 years and 25.000 mls and have had no problems like these yet.
Just oil change...

Any tips for me? it would be great!

Timing belt? Maybe I'm no expert

 

Who did last oil change? When? is oil level correct? And is 5w20 in it or else?

 

fuel pressure issue, timing, ecu, etc etc etc

there could be a bunch of things causing this

I've bought the car 2 years ago with 53k mls and have had no problems yet!
I run it with gas and LPG, but the installation is ok.
I do change oil every 8k mls (Castrol Edge 5W20 + WIX Filter) and have just changed the spark plugs 100mls ago (NGK izfr6k-11).
Is the US Edge 5W20 also honeyyellow-green?!
After the spark plugs have been changed, I went to my mechanic and he checked the OBD.
There were old messages with misfirings on all cylinders and something else I don't remember.
Aah, the gas mileage is terrible right now, too.
Something like 13 in the city (normally I get 17mpg) and 16 @ cons 90-100mph on the "Autobahn" (normally I get 19-20 mpg).
The timing beld was changed @ 65k mls (now I have 77k mls).
So 24k mls in 2 years and and a big smile on my face :-)
Maybe it's the previous car of one member?

the right motor mount was also replaced at the same time when the timing belt was.

 

i could be wrong, but it seems like an issue with the clutch in the transmission. are you sure it does it only when cold?
