Has it always been this way, or did you just buy the car and don't know?

Exclamation Help!!! my engine temperature gauge settles low

hi guys~

here is my problem. i got a 08 acura tls, recently, i found my engine temperature gauge points kinda low. so, i went to local dealership and they respond to me that it should be fine due to its in the tl spec range(160F~212F), but the thing is i did have gauge settles at little bit higher than 8th dash on the gauge when i first purchase, now it settles at 6 1/2th dash. can anybody give me a idea why? or did anybody have a simular problem before? help me plz~~~~~

Mine's steady since day one. Not sure I follow about 8th vs 6 1/2. Have you noticed any decrease in fuel economy? You might see that if the car is running way too cool. If the car is running within the spec then it will be a tough battle to have them replace your thermostat under warranty. My guess is your thermostat has drifted. Any mods done?
