Engine oil leak

I have a very well cared for 2005 TL with 125K miles, It just developed an oil leak on the passenger side rear portion of the engine. Is anyone aware of a common problem in this area? It doesn't appear to be oil pan related.

Most likely the Oil Pump but I've seen some Power Steering fluid leak down there from the P/S Pump.

Just curious... Did you recently have the power steering hose safety recall done?

How did you notice the leak? Are you sure it's engine oil and not water from the A/C drain tube?

Unless it's leaving a fair amount of oil on the driveway, I'd just keep an eye on it for a while. It may suddenly go away.

I have not had the recall done yet, in fact I didn't know there was a recall until just now. I will be looking into that as well.

I first noticed an odor while sitting in traffic, it smelled like oil burning off (the hot engine block or exhaust). It's leaving a small puddle on the garage floor.

best if you can upload a detailed pic of where its coming from. ive seen leaking p/s pumps, leaking oil pumps, and the most famous of them all the main cap bolt. usually found on older gen tls and mdxs. but im sure the newer tls are bound to leak over time.
