hi yesturday my i was driving my 04 TL and it woudnt go to the third gear and thn it strted slowing down i turned my car off amd restarted and it wouldnt start it cant be the battery because all the lights work and i even tried boosting can anyone help me find out what the problem is ??

My car started dieing as i was driving nd it just stopedand so i turned it off and tried turning it on but the engine couldnt start

 

if your car started dying while you are going down the road, I would remove and test alternator and if bad replace. might also want to replace your battery as well depending upon age.

Aww, heck I am going to go with in addition to replacing alt, do the battery. there is a chemical reaction that takes place once the battery voltage dips to about 10V. Once that happens, the battery life is shortened. Another reason is that who knows how long the alt has been bad and slowly eating at said battery.

Battery. if after alt/ battery has been replaced, replace the starter.

 

Or have the codes read . You can replace all that stuff and still not solve it. He tried boosting it and it didn't start ... not the battery ... not the alternator .. leaves the starter , maybe bad ground or loss of ground. Maybe ECU ...
