Emission System Error P134

My 2008 Acura TL just gave me a warning on my NAV screen of an Emission Systems P134 error.

I contacted my service guys, and they told me that it is likely the oxygen sensor, but that something else could have set it off.

They suggested that I clear the error and remove the battery to reset the engine light and see if it happens again. I am going to do that.

Quick question though... I am in California, and I am concerned that this error is stored in the computer and will show up in the OBD data when I get a smog test and might fail the smog test because of it.

If this error never shows up again, will I be able to pass my next required smog test?

well you'll be deleting the stored code when you disconnect it. But I don't think it would affect you during a smog, why would they care if you'd replaced a sensor?

Replace the top front one.

just had same issue on mine a couple months ago

I am not planning on replacing it, unless the error repeats itself... My service advisor is telling me that it can be triggered erroneously, and so I disconnected the battery with the hopes that the error doesn't come back... But if it does, I will get whatever needs replacing, replaced...
