Emblem on steering wheel replacement?

My Acura symbol on my steering wheel is a little nicked up. Almost all the silver paint flaked off

I have a 05 base TL.

How do I go about replacing this?

(Will get a pic up if needed)

Unfortunately I think it's part of the airbag assy so you'd be in for quite a bit of $$.
It's #1 on this link http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

Others have had this happen so hopefully they will chime in with any alternatives they have found. What, if anything, have you used to clean the area ?

I didnt use anything to clean the area. When I bought my TL thats the way it was.

Maybe I'll try painting it. But I really just want to replace it with a oem fresh emblem.

Perhaps you could do something cosmetic in nature but be careful with any paints/solvents in that area. If you stick to only the silver "A" you will probably be OK but maybe not. Perhaps the satin silver metallic color will match the aluminum trim strips.

Just resist any temptation to affix anything like a separate emblem there. It will be a projectile aimed at your head if your a/b deploys.
