Electrical issues....SRS light and blower fan
Before I get an appointment with Acura, does anyone know what could be causing these issues on my 2004 TL:
1) SRS light on the dash comes on when I (190lbs) sit in the passenger seat, but does not come on if the seat is empty or when my wife (125lbs) is sitting in it.
2) The fan blower works intermittently. This problem just started today so I haven't quite narrowed it down. But it seems like when I change the fan speed, the fan isn't blowing at all even though the bars on the dash are changing. If I turn the whole system to off, then back on, the fan runs for about 30 seconds and then just quits. It sounds like the a/c compressor is still running even when the fan isn't blowing.
The car has been good to me in the 5 years I've owned it but just recently it seems to be heading south.
Thanks for any input.

I would prelimarily check the following:
1) - Wiring harness below the seat. Guessing the weight difference could be pinching a wire.
2) Sounds like a possible grounding issue. I would double check the fuse, but doubt it if it works initially.

I found your thread by searching for answers to a similar problem. My a/c fan goes on and off all the time now. It's mostly off but then I get a big puff of air for 1-2 seconds, then nothing again.
This started about 2 weeks ago as an intermittent problem and has quickly gotten to the point where the fan is mostly off. I have tried adjusting the temperature and fan speed. Nothing seems to change it. I'm thinking it may be a temperature sensor or relay but I'm not really sure. If I come up with anything I will post it. If anyone has any thoughts please help out. I'm not sure it's related but two middle bars on the fan speed indicator are now dimm compared to the others. (???)
Thanks.
