ECU reset/negative disconnect....any issues?

So I started modding my car and saw plenty of places talking about the ECU reset/negative battery cable removal. Before every mod I remove the negative then reconnect, let run until warm, turn car off, let sit for 2 mins or so, then drive the car. I've tried driving it hard after the mod, driving normal, and driving miss Daisy LOL. I'm felling a lot of issues after each of these resets.....hesitations, jumps, sounds, ect. I'm concerned its damaging the car. Anyone have any thoughts on how long it takes before it regains normal memory or even a normal run? Also has anyone had these problems before and what fixed them? Or am I the only one?

What type of mod were you doing, normally once everything is back together everything should reset in matter of minutes of driving ...

Disconneting the NEG terminal while doing work on the car should not cause any issues at all.

so far i've done aem v2 cai, p2r throttle body spacer, and rv6 jpipe.
the last time i pulled the negative i started driving slowly(grandpa after eating a steak dinner driving lmao!)
it has worked the best so far. minimal issues with the driving. it feels like it is learning the best out of all the options. maybe its the heat or inconsistent driving style....who knows.?. i'll just keep taking time with it. i should be doing my exhaust here in the next week or 2. not sure which i will go with yet but it will be an adventure either way
