ECM problem? p2227 code and P2228
hey yall i got this code earlier this week that says p2227 i replaced the MAP sensor and did an ECM reset now its pushing a p2227 and a p2228 code. could it be that my ecm shit the bed? i checked the cables and everything they look fine. i have a 07 tl type-s with 180,000 miles
There is not a MAF sensor on this model TL, but I'll assume that's a typo. The two codes you listed are for the BARO sensor not the MAP sensor.
The BARO is built into the ECM. try to get your hands on a known good ECM. I'd try to borrow one if possible. if the codes don't come back after warming it up a time or two, try to find a permanent replacement ECM and thank your new friend for letting you borrow theirs.
